Club Event
The Grant McKay Memorial Hat Hat Regatta
Held on the last Saturday of September.
The event was the brain child of Grant McKay one of the founders of our club.
The Idea:
was to put on some crazy hats and paddle through the Hat!
as a last group paddle of the season.
The Trip:
starting in Echcodale Regional Park at the boat launch and traveling together to Strathcona Island Park boat launch
The Challenge:
The weather at this time of year can be anything between bright and
beautifully warm, to rainy and some times snowy conditions.
The trip goes unless high winds or nasty storms stand in the way.
