IMPORTANT!! Parking Details
How it works
- In Advance arrange with friends,
- you will need to get your watercraft to Echodale Park for the Launch AND
- you will need a ride back to Echodale from Strathcona Island Park
- someone will have to stay with the boats while the transportation is retrieved
- make sure you have water, snacks and your safety gear ready to go
- On Saturday Morning
- Participants make their own way to Echodale launch site 10:00 to 11:30 am
- Pay attention to parking signs, ECHODALE Launch site detail
- At Echodale Park Participants ready their watercraft
- then proceed to the launch ramp
- on the ramp you will be asked to sign a participation waiver
- or you can do it in advance
Waiver Link open until Friday at 4:30 PM
- proceed to the waters edge and launch your craft, Club Members will be there to assist you.
- EVERYONE is asked to paddle in place or hang onto the bank until
the OFFICIAL START at 12:00 noon
- we hope to have a drone in the air to capture the excitement
- While Paddling/Floating
- Enjoy the people, the landscape and the beautiful day
- SEASAR and the Paddling Club Members will be on the river to answer questions and help where needed
- Remember to wear your PFD and drink plenty of water
- Take-out
- Strathcona Island Park, boat launch take-out site details
- please be courteous to fellow participants
- move your craft out of the way so others can come ashore
- bring vehicle into the loading loop and load as quickly as possible
- After Paddle refreshments
- meet at the Silver Buckle Sports Bar in the press-room and on the deck, until 5:00 pm
- or, make arrangements with your friends and new acquaintances
to meet at another of Medicine Hat's many fine establishments
make sure you have all your safety equipment, including protection from the sun and plenty of water to drink.
